Since these workers require more training and have more responsibility with replacement parts, repair tools, and fixing equipment that could create a dangerous situation if not repaired properly, these workers often command higher wages.

Some companies also have workers that focus on small kitchen appliances like microwaves. They expect their customers to bring malfunctioning kitchen equipment to them, so they do not need special driver’s license. They do, however, still need specialized training to fix the equipment properly.
